Hello, My name is Joel Lindsey!

Originally from London England, I am a Pittsburgh-based singer, guitarist, DJ and MC who founded Joel Lindsey Entertainment along with my wife from Beaver County, Amy Lindsey. We provide services for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, Bar / Bat Mitzvahs and other celebrations.
For a typical wedding event, I perform live for the ceremony, cocktail hour, during dinner and even the first dance, all the while Mcing and DJing going right through to the dancing portion of the night. I provide sound systems for each part of the event, a wireless microphone system and dancefloor lighting all included in the cost.
If you click SINGER / GUITARIST at the top of my website, you'll be able to see the long list of cover tunes I play - click each one for a video sample. I'm also willing to learn a couple new songs for each event so if you don't see your favorite Dave Matthews or Taylor Swift tune on the list, no worries... I'll learn that especially for you!
All parts of the event are completely customizable. You can select the songs you'd like me to play both as a live performer and DJ. Forget any preconceptions you might have about wedding DJ music - I'll play the music YOU want to hear! (Click here for DJ Clips) Whether you like pop, 80s hip hop, country, soul...Whatever - I'll have it for you (and you and your guests can make song requests throughout the night). Along with the contract, I'll send you my questionnaire form which I'll help you to fill out in the months leading up to the wedding. I'll be here to help you with everything throughout the planning process.
So you've decided to hire me as your musician and DJ - what other services can we offer you? If you're having a wedding, Amy is our amazing wedding officiant - She's an excellent speaker, incredibly friendly and easy to work with. After the ceremony, she'll sign the marriage licence, thus making the marriage legal. She'll also help you to design all parts of your ceremony including readings, vows and any other ideas such as adding a wine box ceremony, sand mixing, rope tying and many other fun concepts you might wish to incorporate.

We also offer uplighting packages. Our uplights are all completely LED professional-grade. They're some of the best on the market and will create a bold burst of light against any wall or architectural feature in the banquet hall. We can set them to any colors you desire, and later in the night, with a push of a button, all of the lights in the room will color blend and flash bringing the whole space to life! We can do any number of uplights you might want, typically between 10 - 42 depending on the room size.
Finally, we offer accompanying musicians - Looking to bolster your live music sound? You can choose any combination of musicians to perform with me for the ceremony, cocktail hour, during dinner and your first dance. Pick from the violinist, bassist and / or cocktail kit drummer.

About the Lindseys
​
Since the age of 3, Joel has been fanatical about music. He grew up around musical instruments, spending every weekend at his dad's guitar shop. Joel performed as the lead singer in rock bands during his teenage years, immersing himself in music paticularly while earning his degree at the renowned Central Saint Martins College of Art in London.
Joel and Amy met in the town of Angel in London in 2005 on one fateful night at Cafe Royal, a 1920s-themed bar. Since that day, they've been inseperable. After living for a year in a flat in Hither Green, London they decided to spend some time in Pittsburgh and have resided here ever since. They married in 2009 and were crazy enough to have two weddings. The first in Amy's hometown of Beaver, Beaver County and two weeks later on Abbey Road in London. Levi, the apple of their eye, was born on May 3rd 2018. Together with their dog Django, the Lindseys live a happy life in the North Side of Pittsburgh. They work hard, love to have fun and plan to continue doing what they're doing for many years to come.
